Seriously, you have the time to post a ridiculous rant like that but not enough time to read the article? Try reading it and get back to me before you say anything else stupid.

Me too.
Doesn't lessen what Mel said, but it does acutely show the double standard this country has....

I have had just about enough of these jerks going around telling how one should "make amends" or "think."
Especially when their hands are filthy with hypocrisy and bigotry.
Get over it already. .

Still, there are a number of things to be learned from this sad event. First, all those who defended The Passion of the Christ as a benign movie about the death of Jesus ought to do some real soul-searching. This defamatory movie repeated the oldest and most destructive lie ever told, that the Jews killed god.Well, some Jews did along with the Romans--the record is pretty clear on that. Doesn't mean the Holocaust was a good idea or that persecution of Jews is a good idea. They are terrible ideas and contrary to what Jesus taught.

But they're the ones causing all of the wars in the world, right?

I see where your coming from, but Christ was sent not to change a religion, but to fulfill one; the Jewish prophecy of the Messiah. The problem was that the Jews expected a warrior to destroy their enemy's, not love them. Also, the way he died on the cross to Jews in a sense disowned him from being a Jew. Only the scourge of the earth were crucified, so the Jews rejected Christ as a Messiah, as well as his teachings. Thus the people that heard his word and believed it were rejected as Jews, hense the birth of Christianity.

Gee,the version I saw showed the Romans killing Him.

Liberal secular Hollywood...Jewish and Goyim alike
loathed that movie with all they could muster
maybe even more than they loathe Bush
and for the same reason

What do my sins (which are world record setting admittedly) have to do with Mel Gibson's faux paux, lib Hollywood's hatred of him and Jews who work in the YMCA lecturing that Christianity in the YMCA offends them?
You lost me.

Also, the way he died on the cross to Jews in a sense disowned him from being a Jew. Only the scourge of the earth were crucified, so the Jews rejected Christ as a Messiah,Amamzing! The God of the universe, leaves the glory and beauty of heaven, not only lowers himself to mans level, but is born in a dirty cave that houses animals, laid in an animals feeding trough, with nothin more than rags to bundle him in. His parents are mere peasants. He's raised knowing manual labor.
He hob nobs with prostitutes and tax collectors, the scum of society. His best friends are smelly fishermen, from the scourge area of Israel.
He is killed on a cross, the most excruciating death devised by man. And he could've stopped it with just a thought. Or like the old hymn says, he could have called ten thousand angels.
Instead of coming in glory, which he deserved, he humbled himself to the very lowest of the low. Instead of giving us the just rewards of our pathetic lives, he gives us voluntary choosing, of how we live, and who we'll serve.
When I reflect on what the God of the universe chose to do, though he is deserving of so much more. It makes me pause to think of what "I Think" life owes me. Though I view those less fortunate than myself with compassion, I cannot think of anybody not deserving.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that those we call liberals, view nobody as deserving squalor. But in light of what God did, none of us are deserving of anything less. And to be outraged that others don't have certain things, really isn't about others, its about what we feel "we" deserve. But to say that everybody deserves certain things, is really saying that "we" or "I" deserve those things.

Sorry to get into a rant. I get that way, when I view what God did, and start to think of people "deserving".

If Mel wants a pass from the liberal media on his anti-semitism, all he needs to do is join Hezbollah.

"He doesn't have to "atone" for anything. He just needs to stay sober and quit Frenching women who aren't his wife. Everything else will follow."
I agree completely. The only thing Mel criminally did wrong was drive while intoxicated. He can say whatever he wants - thoughts aren't good or bad. It's no one else's business and he doesn't have to do squat to appease all those upset with him. He apologized over and over - enough already. His main priorities now are to get sober, clean house and trust God. The rest will follow.
