Your graphic implies that this poll is a Democrat vs. GOP issue. I would submitt otherwise - it is about winning or losing the war in Iraq.

I hit it.
Now it's:
YES 60%
NO 40%
Getting better, but still not good enough. This must be a really liberal site. Right?

Fair enough, but not all threads / polls exactly boil down to the two main political parties. Might want to add another or two to your ping repertoire.

No, but they are all left vs. right. And I can't really find symbols for liberalism and conservatism as schools of thought (or lack thereof).

Rumsfeld will be around for the Iranian invasion just so he can hear Hillaryous 'badword' about it.

Rumsfeld will be around for the Iranian invasion just so he can hear Hillaryous 'badword' about it. So, I guess your foreign policy and national defense suggestion is to invade Iran, with Rumsfeld in charge, merely to tweak HC?
I know that is not what you are suggesting. But tell me this, why a special trust and confidence in Rumsfeld to do better in the Iran OPLAN then he did in the plan for OIF?
Do you think Persians will roll over easier than Arabs? Exactly what would you suggest we do in regards with Iran?

I do think that we could roll through Tehran and remove their Government. Maybe spur on a civil war in hopes the younger generation would be more friendly to the West.
If you ask me, the war in Iraq is not as bad as some think. I went to D.C. and Gettysburg on my vacation this year. I stood on hollowed ground at Gettysburg. I stood on a piece of ground where 2,plus New York Calvary Soldiers gave their lives for freedom in one day.
How long have we been in the heart of the Middle East? Do I need to remind you that we are in the heart of a people who will burn our flag and hate our guts just because we support Israel's right to exist? We have the posture to take out terrorist on their own turf.
I wouldn't have to remind you that if we planned it correctly, would could hit Iran with a three prong attack. Marines in the Persian gulf, Tank divisions from Iraq, and Special Forces from Afghanistan. I don't think I need to remind you that we will own Iran's air. We are able to knock out their eyes site and capabilities to defend the air in no time.
And they got it coming.
And if they want to fight dirty, we can do that. Our missiles seem to be a lot more accurate then the junk they make.

2,plus = 2000 plus. IF I remember right it was around 2,400 NY Calvary Troops

Don't take this wrong, as I suspect you mean well - but you are speaking from emotion not reality and experience. I, like you, desire to win this war against the Islamists. That said, it cannot be done willy-nilly based on gut reactions. We are getting to the point of being over-extended and the Israeli-Hezbollah-Palestinian-Syria-Iran-Shiite-Sunni-Name Them All wild-card is not exactly aiding our cause...

Maybe the General of the 101st Airborne was right and we need to put the hammer down because this is what they understand. When in Rome ... and the Middle East is not Kansas.

Forgot to ask - are you of the kill them all and let God sort them out school of thought? If so, will that truly, in the grand scheme of things and maybe a generation or two down the line - really be a victory? Or would it be just be mortgaging our legacy and national character for a tactical victory?
