Israel doesn't need the F-22. If we give the F-22 to a couple of friendly countries, the Chinese will have the technology in 5 years. Look at it from the Pentagon's point of view. In 5 years the f-22's costs will have been paid for, the project managers will have moved on to jobs at the defense contractors they supervised. It will thus be time to declare the F-22 obsolete and start the procurement cycle over again
