LOL, kinda harsh huh. I think the message has to be sent, that the cost of attacking Israel is too unthinkable to risk. These terrorists seem willing to pay the price. Okay, how about taking out their moms and pops and wives and children. Let's see how that plays. I hate to act like Maximum Bob or whatever, but this cannot go on, and Israel should not have to face it again in five or ten years, or whenever the mood strikes. My ultimate goal is peace. You only have it when the bad guys beg for it in earnest.

According to the recognized Rules of War, Hezzbollah is bringing the violence to the Lebanese populace and Israel is within its rights to bomb the living cr*p out of any areas from which the Hezzies are staging attacks. Arguments for "proportional responses" are best left to historians. Oh, and it's a good idea if those are YOUR historians, since if they are not it usually indicates that your side lost.
