We want to pretend life is normal after 9/11, so we sanitize Islam, dream of hightailing it out of Iraq, and urge Israel to shore restraint towards Hezbollah. And we make sure local terrorist acts are not attributed to the jihad but to the acts of nuts or loners who kill for no reason. We need to deny the jihad and the Islamofascism spearheaded by Iran and orchestrated by Al Qaeda and Hezbollah behind it since we want to believe 9/11 was an isolated event. From Michael Moore and Jihad Cindy on the far Left to Pat Buchanan on the far Right, there are growing demands to give up the war and return home behind the walls of Fortress America. Israel and Europe can be left to their fate. Jihad? What jihad? Too many Americans still do not recognize we're at war and fail to appreciate that if we give up the fight now, we will pay a higher price later.

The present state of mind among the world's leaders is that anything is better than war.
And Islam is a religion of peace.
And there never were a billion and a half Nazis in the world, so there is really no comparison to this threat.

The war is of course the battle between Islamic jihadists and the United States of America and our allies in the West.
Not to quibble, Meanie, but this war is NOT "the battle between Islamic jihadists and the United States of America and our allies", it is the battle between a cult of death, oppression, slavery and murder, versus freedom, liberty and the ability to choose how we will live our lives.
The issue is much larger and more important than simply being one of "the battle between Islamic jihadists and the United States of America and our allies".

"We should fight back, and we should kill every single Islamic jihadist and terrorist that we can until they surrender, beg for mercy and give up their arms. " This is an obvious good start.

But, see, there is no such thing as evil, no silly supernatural force like that. Regular people just sometimes make bad decisions because, when they were young, their public schools didn't get enough money, their sexual identities were quashed, and they lost at dodge ball.

This can easily be explained by the fact that the people of this nation and of most Western nations do not accept the fact that we are at war with Islamic jihadists including Hezbollah, al-Qaida, and the like. The day after 9/11, the Washington Times Ed page printed a political cartoon, the WTC, the Pentagon, on fire with smoke coming out. In bold letters was printed IT'S WAR! I cut it out and tacked it on the bulletin board at work. A black woman who worked there demanded it be taken down and was offended by it. I still cannot understand that to this day. Why would she be offended by a cartoon stating the obvious? I cannot figure it out.
I was listening to Mark Levin last night. He read an article from a German news mag which explained Hezbollah, Hamss, and the rest as terrorist organizations. Than he read a statement by the number 2 guy at the State Department, stating they - the State Department - refuses to classify them as terrorists. Last December, while working at the Main State building of the State Department, by the elevators were flyers announcing a seminar to better understand Islam, sponsored by State. It was then I began to realize we are in trouble.

"Good article from Melanie Morgan. " Yep, yep! Melanie sums it up clearly as always, and puts forth the call to action.
She is one of the few unwavering voices of reason, patriotism and strength as it relates to the war on terrorism.

Melanie Morgan rallies Americans to acknowledge that a state of war has been declared against the United States by Islamic jihadists and we need to act accordingly and fight back, kill as many of them as we can until they beg for mercy, surrender and give up their arms. Powerful column by Melanie Morgan on the need to fight our side of the war against Islamic jihadists and not just keep letting them attack us, and then having us respond with talks of cease-fire, diplomacy and appeasement.

Thanks for the ping.
The opposite of war is not peace, it is surrender.
Peace is the lack of opposition to your cause.
We will never surrender!
This is not just a battle for the US and our allies.
IT IS A BATTLE FOR CIVILIZATION.
We are fighting an enemy that lacks any humanity at all. They do not value life, their life nor our lives. They want to die and we should want to kill them before they kill us.
Watch "The Women of Hezbolah" on linktv and tell me I'm wrong.
"No, President Clinton, we cannot kill them tomorrow. Tomorrow is today!!"
