Did you see that on Wolfe Blitzers show that a Lebanese Political Analyst has sent an open letter to "President Clinton" asking for him to step in and stop the war that the crazy "Bush" has started with Lebanon???? Maybe catch it on a replay. It sounded like insanity to me!

from Debka:

Iran supplies Hizballah with a battery of upgraded Zelzal missiles that can reach Israel’s nuclear reactor in Dimona

I remember you had mentioned that as one of their goals. Looks like things may becoming to a head

And on the seriouser side, an analysis by Yoni.

"In 1991 Israel was forced to enter into a peace process, part of this process was to over time force Israel to turn away from our long held philosophy of striking back hard.

Now Olmert by his criminal handling of this war has shattered the image of the IDF as being super men. He has taken a war that if handled properly could have been over weeks ago.

Instead Olmert because of his weakness, has made IDF appear weak.

Hizballah has now forced Israel to fight longer than we have in any war against Arab nations.

This is only due to the stupidity of one man, Olmert.

Olmert has killed the golden goose, Hizballah had handed Israel and the west a golden opportunity that would have had positive spin on the war on terror as a whole.

Israel could have rolled over Hizballah in a short time and then gone after Syria because of the supplies that still come via Syria to Hizballah. It should be noted that supplies come via Syria from Iran to both Hizballah and the terrorist in Iraq.

This would have had a calming effect on the situation in Iraq which instead seems to be spinning out of control.

Killed in Lack of Action, The mystic of the IDF and the Israeli soldier.

It will take at least a generation and many dead on both sides for Israel to rebuild what should be the image of the IDF to the Islamic world.

IDF, super soldiers."

Don't think anyone could have won this war quickly, the Hezzis are like roaches, just can't seem to kill all of them. There are many tunnels left in Nam that they were using.

It can only be a temporary alliance...but the enemy of my enemy is my friend does allow for these from time to time...but there will never ever be full acceptance, and I doubt, real trust.

That is something to remember, for it can be a tool.

Nope, but if we can psychop on their traditional hatreds, we will have a tool that might be useful to mitigate the threat some.

May we use it wisely.

I'm still catching up. Spent the day in a urgent care center with youngest son who it turns out has pneumonia. He demanded that I take him back to his brother's, where he lives now. I surely hope his roommates get him to take his meds on schedule...all he really wants to do is sleep.

Interesting report just given by a Fox reporter regarding the missile that hit Hadera. He started by saying that he has to be careful of what he says because of Israeli censors. But what he "Can" say is:
- One missile was fired that hit Hadera
- Two explosions were heard
- The Israeli's have recently setup Patriot missiles in the Hadera area.
And that was it.

Gee, I wonder what he wasn't supposed to say?
