By that logic in voting for Corker, I assume you will be voting for Ford in the Fall. For he will have the biggest machine behind him, loyal supporters, and might be facing the one candidate that the polls showed he had a chance against.

Well, that sucks for Bryant.

He just pulled the Sasser bull$hit hustle. Pretend to be Conservative, when your record and agenda are otherwise. He can get stuffed. No more for these RINO cretins, not one f'ing cent and not one f'ing vote.

It's pretty early. Surprises have happened before, so I'm hopeful. And western Tennessee will probably be the last to report.

We are a military family and I am praying that you will reconsider and support the Republican candidate period.

Trust me, supporting an opportunistic Democrat running as a Republican is not easy. If I lived in Tennessee and Corker were the nominee, I'd force myself to vote for him, but it would SORELY test my gag reflex.

No, it's better to vote for huge tax increases and huge spending increases. That's why we elect Republicans, to support massive Taft and spending hikes. Since you seem to have such a problem with RINO's in your backyard, please allow the rest of us to have the same animosity towards them in our backyard.

I agree.
I will vote for just about any Republican over ANY Democrat.
As Hugh Hewitt asks "Can you count to 50?"
That's how many votes the GOP needs to organize the Senate. Corker may not be a John Kyl or a George Allen - but he sure as hell is not gonna vote like Chafee or Snowe.

Memphis doesn't have a united Black leadership. The Mayor, King Willie Herenton, holds onto a decent chunk of the Black vote while scaring White voters into supporting him because he knows they don't want the Fords completely controlling the city. He is opposed by the Fords, and other lesser Black power-hustlers, doing nada for their people and lining their pockets.

.....Some people say Hilleary did a terrible campaign in '02 when he ran for Governor. ....
The thought crossed my mind that the powers that be egged him on to split the conservative vote.

As I said in another thread tonight. Chattanoogans were shocked when Corker ran as a conservative Republican after having him as mayor for 4 years.
Much of his funding and support came from the major liberals in Chattanooga. He essentially bought this election due to the fact that he's a millionaire and owns much of Chattanooga.
Sadly, I know a bit too much about Corker and his campaign. This is extremely depressing.
Corker's nothing but an opportunist who will only side with big business and his millionaire cronies.
To: Clintonfatigued
I totally agree, but there is just too much at stake to let Jr. have the seat.

I am voting for the Republican candidate. I'm supporting Ed Bryant in the primary AND the general, even if I have to write his name in.

I can't believe that an ad starring Corker's mother turned his campaign around.

Chattanooga Chafee (aka Bob Corker) has slipped a little. And there's a lot of precincts (especially in western TN) left to be counted. Let's not start the wake just yet.
