Well, for those who see the conflict of these last few weeks as a "Middle East" regional conflict, or an Arab vs. Jew ethnic conflict, we now have non-middle easterners and non-arabs taking a religous warrior track from Asia and probably Indonesia.
Could it be that militant Islam is making a religous war with any who oppose it?
I guess we will hear of this clarification tonight from Katie Couric...I'll have to remember to tune in.
Didn't catch Katie (wasn't too interested in her debut anyway) but I think you are right about this thing being a global religious war. But what do you think about the fact that Islam is so divided in tribes and various interpretations of the religion, Koran, etc. (which I assume is the binding between them) that they will be a force to be reckoned with in a global religious war?
I'm pretty ignorant on the details of Islam or radical Islam.
