The Red Crescent, an Islamic relief group like the International Red Cross, now admits the casualty figures from the Israeli attack dirrfyrf against rocket-firing sites at Qana in Lebanon was 28, not the more than 70 as originally claimed.
Even the number 28 is unverified, as Western news media never saw more than a dozen victims of the attack.
dirrfyrf = directed
Of course you won't. And, more importantly, you won't see it repeated in the Arab press either.
How do you miscount by almost 3-fold such a small initial number? Don't they have a basic numbering system?
I've posted this 7/30 press release directly from the ICRC web site several times recently.
There has been no update.
The press has consistently refused to cite it.
http://www.icrc.org/Web/Eng/siteeng0.nsf/html/Lebanon-news-300706!OpenDocument
"In today's military operations by the Israel Defense Forces against the village of Qana, a building sheltering civilians was directly hit. At the time of writing, the Lebanese Red Cross Society and the Lebanese Civil Defense have extracted 28 bodies from the rubble, 19 of whom are children."
That is not the only lie they told. Wait until we find out why there was wimmin & chillen in that building to start with. That is the real crime.
They "now admit"? But no explanation of WHY the so called "miscount" or "claim"?
Nor will we see that the Qana death toll was the result of a staged Hezzie PR stunt.
Yes we will. It will go something like this:
"Though the original count was thought to be slightly higher, 28 innocent civilians were killed in the heinous Israeli strike in Qana. "
Also it's very strange indeed that the mysterious Lebanese "aid worker" known on the Internet as "Green Helmet" not only appears in dozens of Qana corpse photos, but also was present and widely photgraphed at the 1996 Qana incident, wearing exactly the same green flak vest and helmet.
This is not one of those "sort of looks like the same guy" propositions. It is definitely and certainly the same guy, without question. And he shows up both times as a main photo subject.
Odd indeed.
"They "now admit"? But no explanation of WHY the so called "miscount" or "claim"?"
It's not clear where the original claim came from, but it sure did get traction.
The ICRC/Lebanese Red Cross web site *never*, *ever* cited a number higher than 16 children and 28 overall. That has been the official position since Saturday.
Yet the press never cited those numbers, even though they are official.
"Where are all the men at? Why only women and children were being killed and no men? What kind of man would leave and let his wife and kids behind in a war zone?"
I truely believe that women and kids are being set up to be killed so as the Israelis can be blamed.
Click on the link in #7 above.
That takes you directly to the ICRC/Lebanese Red Cross press release, and there are *no updates*, anywhere on the site.
The number never changed. 16/28. Period.
So exactly whom has the MSM been quoting? Not the ICRC or its Lebanon branch.
Do you have a link for those?
Were there any adult male victims? If not, where were all the menfolk? Why would they leave women and children behind in a war zone, an area that had previously been leafleted?
>>So exactly whom has the MSM been quoting? Not the ICRC or its Lebanon branch.
Effectively, they've been quoting the Hisballah Ministry of Information and Propaganda, effective becoming the Auxiliaries of same. Just to spell out the obvious.
