I'd be afraid some of them would go all wobbly and try to 'forgive him' and want to 'rehabilitate him', when what he truly needs is killing, so he doesn't commit anymore crimes against children.
No doubt. Not me.
I don't mind forgiving of the truly repentant. Even Adolf Hitler could have qualified for God's mercy.
Still, being forgiven doesn't mean you don't still have to pay the consequences of your actions, physical, emotional, and legal.
