You know, Ali, I am beginning to worry about the depth of anti-semitism out there. Like the Anderson Cooper thing yesterday, he seemed not so surprised that Nasrallah is a Jew hater, but that he is so open about it. This is very troubling.
All right! Thank God for the troops. (Gonna send pizza, ice cream, the works for the troops tomorrow.)
My apologies if this has already been posted.

Looks like they've dropped the leaflets on Beirut to evacuate before the bombing begins.
Which kind did you use before you switched?
"Israel Air Force jets scattered leaflets over southern Beirut Thursday evening, warning residents of three neighborhoods to evacuate their homes."

HOOAH!
That really was remarkable- and actually shows the real Olmert. He may be pressured into doing the right thing now..but he's surely no Bibi.
Imagine saying to men giving their very lives for their land..when this is over we'll give back some of that land...
Ahmadinejad's call to destroy Israel draws French condemnation
I wonder if Douste-Blazy is just annoyed or if he is using Iran's statement to save face after the ridiculous comment he made the other day.

and you have other countries that seem itching to get involved..plus, Saudi Arabia (who doesn't allow protests).are having protests in favor of Hezbollah.
Paul Mitchell.
I guess yoni would know, ...since I believe he IS a reserve..thanks for letting me know.
Yeah, land for peace. Just ask the Indians how that worked out with Pakistan.
YNET NEWS: Saudi police break up pro-Hizbollah Shiite protest
Saudi police dispersed on Thursday a pro-Hizbollah protest in a city in the eastern region, which
is home to the kingdom's Shiite Muslim minority, witnesses said.
In the third such protest in less than a week in al-Qatif demonstrators brandished the yellow banner of the Iran-backed Lebanese guerrilla group and pictures of its leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and torched Israeli flags, they said. Interior Ministry officials could not be reached for comment. (Reuters)

Thought you'd want to see this...
The real question is if France will lose more cars over his new statement?
Exactly my thoughts too- plus they closed those Islamic prayer centers at CDG airport yesterday.
Sage- thanks for that link too!
I've been away from the news and the Net almost the whole day. I've just seen from the newstickers that it has been a hard and sad day. But we knew that was going o be the case once the IDF started to put feet on the ground.
But are they doing the job? The rockets are still raining in, but I guess they are fired from further away than the battle-zone 10 k away from the Israeli border. Any news of captured tunnels, weapon caches, and dead bad guys?
I don't know exactly how it works..but I do know that Israel's political system is different than ours..and I believe if Olmert was to give away the West Bank after this war is over...
He would be replaced as soon as possible...and I could see those same Israeli Army reserves forming a human barricade across the exits out of the West Bank..to keep the Israelis that live there from having to leave.
I just can't see a repeat of those nights that we watched the people have to leave their homes in Gaza...not after all of what has happened since.
I'm sure the Saudi royals feel safe behind the 24K gold doors of their palaces.
We had a German business associate in the office yesterday, and somehow he started talking about Israel...he prefaced it by saying Germany has guilt about WW2 blah blah blah, then went off on the Jews, saying they were killing women and children, and how they have been bad neighbors for 5000 years, this, that and the other thing. I bit my lip, because a good majority of our business is with his company, but I was upset the whole day about it. I have a feeling that most of Europe feels this way. I am embarrassed that I know someone with views like that.
