Hi Kathy.. the link in my post #596, but by going through the fire dept. site in my post #598 it works.
OK....it wasn't one that I posted...I like to figure out and fix those. How are you and mr t feeling this day? Another day better, I hope.
I feel much better, thanks. That chicken soup did the trick I think! Plus I slept good finally. The hubby is still coughing a lot tho'. He was busy checking out his new ladder truck after work today, but hopefully he'll get to the doctor Friday night
He was supposed to just go take a peek at the truck, but he didn't come home for almost 5 hours! He is one who takes a nap every day after work, so he must have really loved that truck to skip his nap today! I'll have a look at it tomorrow. The firehouse is right around the bend from where we live.
I know this is a late response sorry. Last night coming home from work on a parkway near my house was a fast driver smashed into the side of the road.
It was raining, a bad lightening storm too. However, there is always an abundance of these firefighters combination EMT, Rescue persons who were on the scene.
Made me think of this tribute from earlier in the day. How fortunate we are that people have a passion for doing good for others.
Truly a gift for Our Father, God. Truly. What else could it be ?
So I guess although the world, local and distant, is a confused and troublesome place: See patches of black against a white backround of goodness ? Hey, I know that is really hard to do today.
Although I'm skeptical by nature I know this scenario is true because Firefighters and all the Armed Forces are serviing mankind as a living proof that goodness surrounds us.
Never forget !!
On that same note that goodness is proof to the Atheist.
Thank you so very much Connie!!!!!!!!!!
I'm looking threw the posts with the guys now.
Wasn't in a place where I could be with you during the tribue. Would have loved to chat.
I'm very honored. Thanks from me and all my brother and sister fire fighters.
Amen to the fireman's prayer.
Thanks for that.
We had another five alarm last night in an apartment complex.
God was really watching over the occupants and the fire fighters. 20 units destroyed / no injuries.
Thanks so much for your support Tex.
I wasn't available last night. I'm going threw the thread now with the guys. It's a real honor.
Thanks
Thanks for that pic!!!!!
Very nice find
We're checking out the fire fighter thread now.
Thanks for your support. The guys think it's great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sorry to hear and read about the loss of your Chief.
God be with your fire department and community.
From a brother fire fighter.
Thanks for your support.
Thanks for your pic and your support.
Very nice.
Thanks for posting the pic of our FDNY guys and the flag.
The original new photo hangs in my locker along with Osama's declaration of war on the US in 1998.
Oh FF! I'm so delighted you found it!
Maybe you can submit some recipes to the cookbook link.:)
My heart was with you all when I made it & it was tons of fun.
Not but just a few years ago we had a fire here & I can't even begin to tell you how terrific the firefighters were.
God bless you all & please pass my best wishes on to the members of your firehouse! You're the best! *Hugs*
Those guys are truly heroes of the highest order! I wish I had a poster...but I post that graphic whenever I get a chance.
Did you see CBS's 9-ll...about the probie that was being interviewed when all hell broke loose at the Twin Towers? If you haven't you need to. It breaks your heart...but it is something that I always watch to help me remember what they did to our country....and what heroes the fire fighters were!
Thanks so much. Massive heart attack carrying a hose up a steep hill, he was only 53 too, so sad. His father died at the same age. He left behind his wife of 21 years, her 5 children that he took care of, and two sons of his own, and grandchildren. He was the nicest guy, loved by all.
On a lighter note, my husband's dept. just got their 1st ladder truck. My husband is the engineer, I know where to find him if he's missing, he'll be admiring it for a while! I took a look at it tonight, it's huge! The guys were like little boys with a new toy!
Thanks for posting A FIREFIGHTER'S GLOVES
I'm a fire fighter at a busy house.
It hits the nail on the head.
Thanks again
Thanks for your support Kathy
