Whoda thunk you'd need money to run a political campaign?
Would he be complaining if he had 15 times as much money as George Allen, instead of the other way around?

Democratic U.S. Sen. candidate Jim Webb said today that money is perverting the American political process.

Now there is an amazing statement, especially from a ThugoRat. I am surprised that Clinton was not standing next to him, just to make the ultimate HYPOCRISY a lasting image...

Looks like the RATS are giving him just enough rope to hang himself. He ought to quit, except I am gonna take too much pleasure in his thrashing this fall.

I guess after all those years living at the gummint trough, it's shocking to realize that the taxpayers don't give you money for your every little whim.

I hope he doesn't drop out. A victory against webb is a nice way for allen to start his 2008 campaign.

If the need for money is the biggest surprise of the campaign to this guy, he is just plain too stupid for any employment, let alone serving as Senator from Virginia.

Whatever else one may think about issues of campaign financing and donations, etc. if he actually said any of that is a SURPRISE to him then he's too dumb and/or ignorant to be in politics......

Well, he's absolutely right: money is evil [actually, it is the lack of money that is evil, but I digressed]. So, to rid himself of that evil, he could donate it, preferably to me.

Webb hasn't figured out that Reid, Schumer, et.al., were only interested in him as a surrogate to attack the President on Iraq because they couldn't. They counted on Webb to be a one-issue candidate and he obliged.
They'll throw him some cash to keep him in the race as long as he talks their talk, but I'll bet they've written him off already.

Has he been hiding in a cave his whole life?
Or
Is he having trouble raising a campaign war chest?
