It's a wonderful life for a jihadi web master...
See

A grand existence among Muslims on-line

the heart-warming tale of Sasjamal and friends at the clearguidance.com forum, and the terrorists they helped spawn.

The point I tried to make with the guys from the Globe and Mail when they interviewed me for the story was this:

The idea that the users of Clearguidance were somehow goaded into making violent comments is laughable to anyone who were there at the time.

The hot-headed kids on the clearguidance forum were only following the example set for them by guys like SasJamal and Salmaan Ziauddin (who posted under the name IbnMardhiyah). To say that SasJamal's attempt to disclaim responsibility for what his site spawned is disingenuous would be an understatement.

This is precious:

"They got themselves into that," he says of Mr. Ahmad and the other Toronto terror suspects.
"I had nothing to do with it."

Note to jihadi forum admins everywhere:
Not only can you be held responsible for what you do, you *will be* held responsible. When people like the British Home Secretary say "...we need to make the Internet a hostile environment for terrorists..." guys like SasJamal need to be very concerned. They are the facilitators and enablers of the global jihad, and fortunately for us, tracking them down is fairly simple.

Here's a taste of what the admins and so-called moderators of the clearguidance forum were about:

http://internet-haganah.com/harchives/001512.html
http://internet-haganah.com/harchives/001291.html
http://internet-haganah.com/harchives/001432.html

It's a very small world. Members of the Toronto 17 were not only active on Clearguidance, but also the English-language forum run by the at-Tibyan group, and the Arabic-language al-Ekhlaas forum.

Irhabi007 was active in helping to operate the latter two fora. The Toronto 17 were working with the two guys arrested recently in Georgia. The guys in Georgia travelled to Washington DC where they shot surveillance video of targets for future terrorist attacks.

They sent their video to Irhabi007. Why? Because gathering intelligence in support of future attacks was one of things that he did for the jihad - hence the name '007'.
