But there are people who WANT to believe these kinds of things, and one needs to have something evident and concrete, and not just shrug it off. I found some good stuff too to refute the case...item by item.
If people/kooks try to force this type of nonsense on me, anymore I don't even listen. If I feel inspired, I'll offer to sell them a bridge or some magic beans. Sometimes I warn them about the dangers of such conversation without the proper tinfoil hat.
If people as my thoughts on the matter, as a metallurgist, I will explain to them, from a scientific/engineering point of view, how this stuff is a heap of garbage.
From an engineering perspective, it is impressive the towers lasted so long in my opinion.
Regarding the war for oil crowd, I simply put it to them this way: 'Given what we know about the UN Oil for Food program, and the bribes that Saddam paid to UN officials to lift sanctions. If Bush were trying to solely enrich his 'oil buddies', wouldn't that be a much easier way to go about doing so? Especially given the possibility that a war could be used against him politically, not to mention the cost of it financially??'
If that doesn't register with them, they aren't worth my time.
At this point, it became wild, incoherent speculation.
"It crashed at sea."
He didn't elaborate on how a jumbo jet could crash at sea and nobody would take notice. He wasn't even intellectually curious about finding debris to account for it. This turned out to be just a distraction from the 'facts'. LOL.
