Israeli special forces and their llamas

Llamas? Actually a good choice for the mountainous regions of Lebanon. Heck of a lot better tempered than either camels or mules.

Can someone answer this question? The Israeli troops put on a "helmut" that looks like a ladies' hair dryer cap. Like an enlarged beret. Like a puffy pancake on their heads. Like a ladies' shower cap greatly enlarged. What the heck is it and what purpose does it serve? Inquiring minds want to know (mine).

I think it's great. Best photos all day were the ones with the Israeli special ops guys and their llamas.
