Oh lay off Pat, after all he lost a relative in the Nazi Concentration Camps. He fell out of his guard tower.

Instead of maintaining the moral and political high ground it had -- when even Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan were condemning Hezbollah, and privately hoping Israel would inflict a humiliating defeat on Nasrallah -- Israel launched an air war on an innocent people. Uh, right. Moral and political high ground is the important thing. Doesn't do all that much good, though, if you are being driven into the sea.

At least Mel Gibson has expressed some regret for the stupid things he said - while drunk.

I apologize for my vote for Buchanan in the '92 primary (although I really didn't think he'd win.)

The biggest laugh besides Buchanan himself is MSNBC using him as a part of a "balanced" debate.

Pat Buchanan has always a chip on his shoulder about Israel. Missing from his article is the fact Hezbollah is a proxy of Iran and a declared enemy of the United States. It abducted, tortured and murdered Americans. I'd like to see it pounded into oblivion - and I'm glad we're helping our ally Israel - to eliminate a common adversary of our two countries. Far from their playing us for fools, this day has come and it was time to settle accounts with this terrorist organization.

Pat really exposes his double standard when it comes to Israel. If Israel talks tough, Israel is a bully. Hezbollah can do what ever it wants and Pat Buchanan does not have an unqualified criticism of them or even a realistic suggestion about what to do about it.

Is there any wonder any longer why Buchanan has not been a "leading Conservative" or "leading Republican" voice for years; beyond his own well-oiled self-promotion machine.
