The biggest laugh besides Buchanan himself is MSNBC using him as a part of a "balanced" debate.
CNN has a long history of doing the same thing; the conservatives/Republicans they hired for "balance" were invariably staunchly anti-Israel -- Rowland Evans, Bob Novak, and Buchanan. So CNN's anti-Israel liberals were "balanced" by a few anti-Israel conservatives. Hiring a pro-Israel pundit of any political persuassion was simply out of the question.
