This is why Paddy is on Hardball all the time. Spitboy can rest assured that this Jew-baiter will always contradict Bush43's policies... and side with enemies of Israel.

I need a shower after reading this.
Yes, those quotations by Israeli's in positions of power are quite disgusting. Good thing the media is going after Mel Gibson... /sarc off.

Vietnam and the current war is proof that we can fight a war for an extended period of time, but will we ever WIN one? We should take notes from Israel!!

I missed that one by Paul Craig Roberts, but I have just read it. Good God!!! It's simply unbelievable. EVERYBODY, go to post 54 and click the link for the Roberts piece. He's actually saying that our military is having its ass beat in Iraq because the terrorist cause is so righteous!!! How could so many people hate Jews more than they hate islamo terrorits, and more than than they hate UBL?? How can you hate Jews more than you love your country?

Uh, right. Moral and political high ground is the important thing. Doesn't do all that much good, though, if you are being driven into the sea.Ditto. It's awfully hard to direct effective fire from moral high ground, nor does it help hide you from ...INCOMING!.
In a choice between moral high ground, and the Golan heights, guess where I'd park the artillery.

He's writing quite a few anti-Israel articles in the New York Post over the past year.
His last anti-Isreal rant, a few weks back, resulted in nearly the entire Post letters to editor column, being swamped by leters from angry New Yorkers, with every single latter absolutely trashing Bob Novak.
It wasn't a pretty sight.

Hostage taking is a well enshrined tactic of Islamo Fascists getting their way.
Look at Iraq, where a female reporter of a communist Italian newspaper was let go after the Italian Government caught up 3 million Euro's and thereby introduced hostage profiteering into Iraq.
Or, the Pakistani army surrounded a large group of Islamo terrorists including Osama bin Laden in an operation.
Hostage taking of Pakistani soldiers then motivated the Pakistani army to open the gates for those entrapped terrorists including Osama to depart.
Hostages have turned into a part of Islamists warfare. Should there be denials, Al Jazz era will follow up by televising head cuttings and stimulate MSN's yearning for negative commentaries.

Astute observation, Sabramerican! I didn't notice it myself (Jews bellow, roar and thunder). Wow! I once thought Pat Buchanan was a decent man, but his obvious anti-Semitism is disgusting. What little respect I still had for him is now gone.
To: jwalburg
Did you read that PCR piece??? I have NEVER EVER EVER EVER seen anything so horrible written by a "conservative". This filthy piece of shit is actually rejoicing in the deaths of American soldiers in Iraq, portarying cowardly terrorist animals as a brave rag tag bunch of fighters bravely standing up to the mighty, evil US empire, surviving only on their world renowned Arab courage and the righteousness of their cause. Again -- how can anybody possibly hate Jews that much?

Pat's not a very well-informed Catholic.
"If Israel is not in violation of the principle of proportionality, by which Christians are to judge the conduct of a just war, what can that term mean? There are 600 civilian dead in Lebanon, 19 in Israel, a ratio of 30-1, though Hezbollah is firing unguided rockets, while Israel is using precision-guided munitions."
The principle of proportionality does NOT mean you gotta get as many of your folks killed off as you kill off the other guy.
What an idiot.
Proportionality means that the harm you inflict must be at least commensurate with the good that you're trying to achieve.
In that Israel if fighting to survive, for its existence, to prevent some millions of Jews from being murdered by Muslims, that seems commensurate to a whole bunch more than 600 lives, many of whom actually are illegal, immoral combatants.

I think there is a subtle difference.
The cause could earn someone a PhD.
Novak hates Israel. He hates it with the passion of the most virulent Arab. He hates it like those Neturei Karta Jews. On a scale of 10, Novak's hatred of Israel is a 12.
But, raw anti Semitism is not readily visible in what he writes about Israel. Lies, propaganda is all there, but you are hard put to find raw hatred of Jews- or maybe I've just missed it.
On the other hand, Buchanan is all about anti Semitism. No one believes that he takes the Arab side for love of Arabs. It's all a deep demented hatred of Jews from Buchanan.
