The wife and father of kidnapped Israeli soldier Ehud Goldwasser, Karnit, holding a wedding photograph, and Shlomo Goldwasser arrive at Heathrow Airport in London, Monday July 31, 2006. Hezbollah kidnapped two Israeli soldiers on July 12, triggering an Israeli offensive against Lebanon that has killed hundreds of people, mostly civilians.
maybe they got the message - move fast, or lose.
ROFL. So true.
It's thundering here so I'm logging off for a while.
Could someone ping me to any really interesting developments? I tend to just look at the last 20 or so posts when I log on again.
Thanks.
Hez is promising REVENGE and CIVIL WAR when this is over.....
The Shi'ites, the source of Hezbollah's authority and power, constitute 40 percent to 53 percent of the Lebanese population. But the sources estimate that among them a third does not support the organization, and some even oppose it.
"But Hezbollah threatens people. Their security men wander armed in the streets of Beirut and, in fact, have control over the capital. The opposition ? Saad Hariri's party and other parties ? oppose Hezbollah, and they privately rejoice at the blows Israel gives the organization. But they are afraid to speak out. Only Druze leader Walid Jumblatt has no fear of publicly expressing his opinion."
According to the sources, Hezbollah almost openly promises that after the war it will settle scores with its opposition. This was confirmed in a Saturday article in "The Guardian," whose reporter talked to Hezbollah fighters. "The real battle will be after the conclusion of this war. We will have a score to settle with Lebanese politicians," they said. "We have the best intelligence bodies in the country, and we can reach anyone who opposes. Let us finish with the Israelis, then we will settle the rest of the scores."

I have just hung up the phone with a good friend of mine who has relayed the following info to me. The Syrian Army has passed the word down from Assad that today sometime between now current time in Israel is 11:40pm (23:30) and the morning Israel will attack Syria.

I've heard of this guys blog thrown around a bunch during this conflict, is he reliable. I think he is Israeli, wonder how connected he is. I'm beginning to think the excrement is going to hit the spinning cooling device real soon. The helium is being placed in the balloon, is someone going to let it go airborne . . .
CNN now calling this a "major operation". . ."most daring". . .using helicopters and fixed wing to drop troops into Baalbek.
Good plan Peach- see you when the storm blows over
My hubby who was a professional videographer for awhile says you just really don't know who has the time set right. They may be right, they may be wrong. The AP isn't totally fooling you on that one.
How does Assad know this? Have the Syrians been advised that Israel has "limited objectives" in Syria?
Thanks. I should have known you were on this already.

______
Are you kidding? Maybe this is what Tony Snow was aware of!
And now the reponse to put us into the next world war still lays in Syria and Iran's hands.
How come when I was just starting to do some badly needed work around the house, this has to happen?
Sounds bogus.
If this were true, why would Syria wait instead of attacking first? (Ok maybe to look like a victim, but...)
How would Syria know this?
If Israel knew that Syria knew, wouldn't they attack immediately to prevent further preparations by the Syrians?
Correct.
Definite prayers going up!
bttt
It may be indeed.
see a pattern developing ;)
