The wife and father of kidnapped Israeli soldier Ehud Goldwasser, Karnit, holding a wedding photograph, and Shlomo Goldwasser arrive at Heathrow Airport in London, Monday July 31, 2006. Hezbollah kidnapped two Israeli soldiers on July 12, triggering an Israeli offensive against Lebanon that has killed hundreds of people, mostly civilians.
Last I knew, it was.
Check with granny. Or the side bars. or JustPiper.
Arrows are troop movements, orange blasts are battle zones, yellow blasts are air strikes, green dots are Israeli held territory and red dots are where the flyers have been airdropped.
It has been speculated for weeks that the IDF would run the path of the flyer air drops, then turn left toward Tyre.
I've learned more on these threads about all sort of things that have had nothing to do with the war. To me, that's a success, along with keeping up with the war.
= = =
AGREE MUCH about that.

sure looked like some Hezzie estates bore the brunt of it!
LOL
Threads are easy to start. I've done 477. I think my 500th thread will be a virtual party, just because.
I've done a lot of studying about those guys you are talking about...There was a time I wanted to write about McClellan and the Pennisular campaign, but I couldn't figure what I wanted to say except that if McClellan had been as good at combat generalling as he was in organizational and administrative generalling, the war might have ended much sooner.
But that was so obvious, I never went back, cause I really don't like what ifs in past history. It was Lee's chance to shine and he did. And so the war lasted longer, my gggrandfather ended up getting captured in the cumberland gap and spending a large part of the war in Camp Douglas and then Point Lookout, and because of that fact, I met my hubby because his gggrandfather was in Point Lookout as well.
Hmmm...ot again....
LOL! I read this and said to myself "Why has South Carolina gone ahead and gotten involved with Iran?" Obviously, too much FR and not enough sleep.

I am just wondering if this time the Israelis will take it laying down....
Cool. Thanks.
Ahmedinejad had better pray to Allah the Carolinas don't get involved with him. (evil grin)

TEHRAN (Reuters) - The United States and Britain are responsible for Israel's killing of civilians in Lebanon and should not be trusted with seats on the U.N. Security Council, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday.
Israeli forces launched a massive offensive against Lebanon after Hizbollah kidnapped two of its soldiers in a cross-border raid on July 12. Most of the victims of the conflict have been Lebanese civilians.
Iran regularly blames Britain, as a creator of Israel, and the United States, as the state that bankrolls and protects it, for deaths in conflicts in the Middle East.
"They are not competent to be members of the Security Council or to have the power of veto ... They are criminals and should be put on trial," Ahmadinejad told a crowd in the northeastern town of Bojnurd.
Iran has accused the U.N. Security Council of acting illegally by demanding that Iran end its nuclear work or face the threat of sanctions. The West says it believes Iran is planning to build atomic warheads, a charge Tehran denies.
Ahmadinejad accused Israeli forces of being part of a British and U.S. plan to recreate a colonial Middle East.
"Are they humans? They are worse than the beasts. They are bloodthirsty savages," he said. "They have launched strikes from the ground, air and sea. Hospitals, schools, mosques and churches are not safe," he said of the Israeli attacks.
Although Iran armed and funded Hizbollah during the 1980s, Tehran now insists its support is purely charitable, moral and political. Israel says Hizbollah is using Iranian weaponry against it, particularly the hundreds of rockets Hizbollah has fired at northern Israel in the past three weeks.
Tony Snow might have had some say in it also. ;o)
Thanks for that report Allegra. Thanks for your prayers too. He's had stellar training and I need to just keep that remembered.
They are getting their asses handed to them now....hahaha....all those white flags of retreat in Southern Lebanon.
