The wife and father of kidnapped Israeli soldier Ehud Goldwasser, Karnit, holding a wedding photograph, and Shlomo Goldwasser arrive at Heathrow Airport in London, Monday July 31, 2006. Hezbollah kidnapped two Israeli soldiers on July 12, triggering an Israeli offensive against Lebanon that has killed hundreds of people, mostly civilians.
G'night to both of you too... I'm following suit.
My huge thanks for this thread today. Kept me sane (a relative term applied to me to be sure.) There's something highly comforting when you know you're not alone in your thoughts and observations.
Thanks Karl.
Well goodnight everyone, it's time to mosey up to bed.
Prayers for every member of the IDF, for Israel and for the United States.
Do you think Green Helmet Guy knows Looter Guy?
and remember Tourist Guy
THANKS MUCH.
Greatly appreciated.

Excellent description of Hezbollah low morale:
"The IAF bombing of the Dahiya neighborhood was a hard and humiliating blow to the Hezbollah leadership," the sources stated. "This is not only because the offices were destroyed. The offices were equipped with command, control and computer systems and valuable intelligence. But the psychological blow was just as important. They were surprised by the attack and by the precise information Israel possessed. The headquarters was their pride and joy. Its destruction served as a painful reminder of the gap, one that no Lebanese can miss, between their pretension of power and the truth."

Hezbollah engages in prisoner-swap
GIL SEDAN

JERUSALEM - The debate in Israel over this week's prisoner-exchange deal with Hezbollah is not the first time a swap deal has roiled the Jewish state.
g'night Fuddy.
Heading home from a late night at the office...might check in alter...
"take no prisoners would seem the way to go..
I say, squeeze them until they talk...then squeeze them until their heads pop...no need to keep a liability around...and by all means, video the "interogations", especially focusing on their heads exploding...send the video to Al Jazeera so muslims can have some help in deciding whether the 72 virgins are worth it, or will they make due with women who wear burkas who apparently aren't virgins.
Great tag line. Amen.
I'm signing off until the morning.
That would explain the beer!

Maybe it's an out to stop the bombing.
I wonder if this was the "something bigger going on" to which they referred.
Let's hope that the low morale continues for Hezbollah.
Jessica is under the knife full time now, it seems. Have you seen her tight face lately????

I'm not interested in how they are dispatched, and I'm not into gratuitous cruelty.
I agree with your take.
Andy Card said something recently in an interview that the biggest thing he took away from his job was the fact that so much information was made available to him.
As prepared as Tony was for the job, it still must be shocking to read that high security intelligence and to sit in on some of those discussions. Especially this week!

Thankfully, no. Now that you say that, I recall the last time I saw her she looked kinda like Gloria Swanson... an old Gloria Swanson.
