Pre-Castro Cuba had a better economy and better wages than most European countries.

If Fidel dies then what? His brother is in charge? Will that be any different than the Communist regime in place now?

I wonder if he has asked for Dan Rather to be by his side. It may actually be better if he survives for a short time so there is time to organize parties and have a death watch. Maybe a betting pool.
