The CG got the crew off about a week ago. Now it is a race to see who can keep the ship from crashing into one of the islands.

That ship and possibly 4,500 Mazda's (well washed) could be worth something

The 654-foot ship, owned by Tokyo-based Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, is loaded with nearly 5,000 cars. The vessel Monday continued to drift slowly east in relatively calm seas 140 miles south of Amlia Island in the Aleutians. The salvage team determined Sunday that the cargo is still in place. The cars are chained and stacked 14 stories high in the ship. The engine room is dry and in good condition, and the ships fuel tanks do not appear to be leaking.
Looks like the salvage team might have a good chance at recovery. And the cargo appears to be okay. It would be most interesting to have a documentary of this salvage operation.
