The President and first lady spent the weekend in Washington attending church and a tee ball on Sunday. The President then travelled to Miami later on Sunday to attend events today in that area.
Today the President attended a Breakfast with business leaders and then gave a speech at the U.S. Coast Guard Integrated Support Command in Miami , and later met with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice at the White House

His love of humanity and children in particular shines through. He is so nature with these children I know I could not be I would end up being sorry for them rather than treating them normally.

Let's use the analysis of bestselling author Thomas Barnett, who divides the world into a functioning "Core" (North America, Europe, East Asia, rising China and India) and a nonfunctional "Gap" (the Middle East, most of Africa, part of the Andean chain in South America). Barnett argues that our task is to expand the economically interconnected core and establish what he calls connectivity to shrink the gap.
How are we doing? Actually, not badly. Let's look at the hot spots.
