The President and first lady spent the weekend in Washington attending church and a tee ball on Sunday. The President then travelled to Miami later on Sunday to attend events today in that area.

Today the President attended a Breakfast with business leaders and then gave a speech at the U.S. Coast Guard Integrated Support Command in Miami , and later met with Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice at the White House

OOoh, if I had won the toaster, which I was no where near doing, :) that would be the very picture I would have chosen as well.

With all due respect to our wonderful President...I was really hoping to see a pic of Andy Garcia with W. ;-( I looked all over the web and couldn't find one from today. Bummer - that would have been some NICE visuals!!! ;-)

Great, great, great dose!

I sure do love our President. Those photos with the kids and then the misstep on the stairs of Air Force One! Laura and the dogs in the Rose Garden. With the Coast Guard! I cried and I laughed and cried some more. Thank you so much.

Godspeed President Bush. I pray for his continued safety and security during these difficult days.

Received this freep mail from MamaB late yesterday and today she asked me to convey the contents to all on the dose. So rather than try to paraphrase is I will simply copy it.

""I just wanted to let you know that my brother called and told me that my brother in law died this afternoon. Zach had polio as a child and had post polio syndrome. His doctors did not expect him to live past his 30's but he was about 70. They had 3 children but a son died about a year before Jan did. I think there are 6 grandchildren so this will be hard on them especially the ones whose dad died.

My brother said for us to stay home that we had dealt with enough during these past few months but we will wait and see. He only had one sister and she lives in St. Louis, MO. All of my relatives live there or in nearby towns. I doubt if Lynn and I will go to the funeral. As I told her, I do not think I could handle another one right now."

In case you are wondering she confirmed today that he was her younger sister's husband. The poor women and her extended family have had so much sorrow recently special prayers for her and her family tonight.

I rely more on Michael Barone's evaluations of situations than on any 'poll' or any other commentators.

I feel for you! I fell down a flight of steps once and I worry about doing it again everytime I go down steps in high heels.

Absolutely snugs, praying for MamaB and her family.

About 15 years ago, Mr.FF lost 9 family members over the course of only 3 years (which included both his parents). Both sides of his family were getting very depressed and exhausted. It takes quite a toll.

Prayers for MamaB.

I know what you mean, a few years ago, my husband lost his brother who was only 36, his mother and grandmother all within 6 months! And a year and a half later I lost my dad. It wears on a soul.
