The fact is, Ted votes the way people here want him to vote, and gets the unions behind him, plus he's the liberal's liberal, and this is liberal central. If he suddenly started behaving like Joe Lieberman he'd be gone, name or no name.

Uh. Well, I have been told, or read somewhere, that a lot of the New Englanders were and really still are Tories down deep under their skins - so the liberal Democrat philosophy agrees with the barely hidden apparent desire to see the United States defeated. - Oh, and the Kennedy family is an icon up there.
