MCain, Lindsay Graham, Jim webb, Kevin Phillips, Pat Buchanan....are THOSE the Republicans giving him hugs??
I was thinking more along the lines of Christine Todd Whitman, Lowell Pius Weicker, Olympia Snowe and Lincoln Chafee.
Buchanan, Philips, and Webb are no longer Republicans, and Lindsay Graham and John McCain have been extremely critical of Moore. McCain even handed Moore's @$$ to him on live TV during this memoriable exchange:

MCCAIN: ... who would have us believe, my friends, who would have us believe that Saddam's Iraq was an oasis of peace, when in fact -- when in fact it was a place of indescribable cruelty, torture chambers, mass graves and prisons that destroyed the lives of the small children inside their walls.

The fact even a "maverick" like McCain would publically denounce Moore shows you how far the marxist has fallen. And Lindsey Graham has always been strongly conservative, although the "Ned Lamont" equivilent in the GOP seems to have a fanatical hatred of him and the Lamont crowd, believes a guy who votes their way 90% of the time is the enemy.
I'd say post #8 is far more accurate as far as the only kind of "Republicans" who would support more.
