Ahmadinejad's World (a must read for anyone with friends in denial)

July, 30, 2006 Ahmadinejad's World

In pondering the behavior of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, I cannot help but think of the 500,000 plastic keys that Iran imported from Taiwan during the Iran-Iraq War of 1980-88. At the time, an Iranian law laid down that children as young as 12 could be used to clear mine fields, even against the objections of their parents. Before every mission, a small plastic key would be hung around each of the children's necks. It was supposed to open for them the gates to paradise.

"In the past," wrote the semi-official Iranian daily Ettela'at, "we had child-volunteers: 14-, 15-, and 16-year-olds. They went into the mine fields. Their eyes saw nothing. Their ears heard nothing. And then, a few moments later, one saw clouds of dust. When the dust had settled again, there was nothing more to be seen of them. Somewhere, widely scattered in the landscape, there lay scraps of burnt flesh and pieces of bone." Such scenes could henceforth be avoided, Ettela'at assured its readers. "Before entering the mine fields, the children [now] wrap themselves in blankets and they roll on the ground, so that their body parts stay together after the explosion of the mines and one can carry them to the graves."[1]

The children who thus rolled to their deaths formed part of the mass “Basij” movement that was called into being by the Ayatollah Khomeini in 1979. The Basij Mostazafan - the "mobilization of the oppressed" - consisted of short-term volunteer militias. Most of the Basij members were not yet 18. They went enthusiastically and by the thousands to their own destruction. "The young men cleared the mines with their own bodies," a veteran of the Iran-Iraq War has recalled,...

Today, however, Ahmadinejad appears in public in his Basiji uniform.

Islamists like Ahmadinejad present the unbeliever with three choices: convert, submit or die. This is the choice they thrust upon the West and in particular on Israel (for God gave the Torah to the Jews for safekeeping, and the Torah is antithetical to the Koran) and upon the US (for being Israel's protector).

Far too many in the west are in denial as to the scope and depth of this threat, which challenges the west based on its religious values. This is an enemy that already has nuclear weapons, even if they are in the hands of Pakistan. This is an enemy who lives to impose Islam on everyone else. The only response by the West can be to suppress or destroy anyone who holds these beliefs. Any other response will eventually lead to slavery or destruction.

Ahmadinejad's 12th Imam is down a well, eh?

I think he should check down Mel's Hole.

During the war, he {Ahmadinejad} served as one of the Basiji instructors who turned children into martyrs.

Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach.

I thought that Stalin was terrible for using the prison brigades to clear minefields during WWII. This was even worse than that.

Whew, what sick people they are:

"The human wave tactic was implemented as follows: the barely armed children and teenagers had to move continuously forward in perfectly straight rows. It did not matter whether they fell as canon fodder to enemy fire or detonated the mines with their bodies: the important thing was that the Basiji continued to move forward over the torn and mutilated remains of their fallen comrades, going to their deaths in wave after wave.[8] The tactic produced some undeniable initial successes for the Iranian side. “They come toward our positions in huge hordes with their fists swinging,” an Iraqi officer complained in Summer 1982, “You can shoot down the first wave, and then the second. But at some point the corpses are piling up in front of you, and all you want to do is scream and throw away your weapon. Those are human beings, after all!”[9] By Spring 1983, the Pasdaran had sent some 450,000 Basiji in shifts to the front. After three months, whoever survived his deployment was sent back to his school or workplace.[10] "

Remember these stories whenever someone tries to tell us that people everywhere are the same. Bullshit. Cultures that value human life don't use children as cannon fodder and mine detontators. People in the Free World want their children to grow up and have better lives that their parents. Palestinians raise their kids to be suicide bombers - dressing them in suicide vest while they're still infants. Palestinians cheered on 9/11 while civilized people the world over reacted in horror. People everywhere may have the same potential but some cultures produce monsters.

"Now tell me again why ISLAM is not an EVIL "religion"."

As long as we keep buying into the lie that it is a religion of any kind, we will be forced to give it the 1st amendment protection it does NOT deserve. It fails my religion test completely.

We need to define what can be classified and protected as a valid religion. I suggest a few simple litmus tests that any group seeking 1st amendment protection must pass. If your belief fails any of the litmus tests below you belong to a hate group and must be expelled from the country.

#1: If your belief commands you to kill or enslave those who are not of your religion then you fail the litmus test. .

#2: If your belief commands you to kill anyone who leaves your organization then you fail the litmus test.

#3: If your belief demands you kill or enslave anyone who writes, draws, speaks negatively about your belief you fail the litmus test.

Germany did in WWII - yet I must say living here in this culture feels safe and sound today.

Stalins gulags, spanish behaviour in south america etc etc where no example for human kindness - still noone says that russians are beasts or that christedom is a death cult.

Muslims are people like you and me - only some live in regimes that need a serious reorganization.

And no, palestinians don't raise their children to be suicide bombers - it's bad enough that many of them do so theres no wisedom in brandishing those few and brave people who stand up against hamas brutality as beasts by painting them all with the same nation wide brush.

Palestinians cheered on 9/11 while civilized people the world over reacted in horror. People everywhere may have the same potential but some cultures produce monsters.

In WWII we used the deaths of civilians as a deterrent to further aggression. Presently the enemy uses those same civilians as human shields to prevent us from attacking them directly, since we now consider the lives of those same civilians as sacrosanct.

It's high time that we stopped listening to the fools who worry about world opinion in our choices of targets. It is said why should we stoop to their level. Why is it stooping to their level?

In WWII the US firebombed Dresden and Tokyo. Nuked Hiroshima and Nagasaki, who exactly was living there at the time....CIVILIANS.

Soldiers were once children who come from the same civilian populations which are now sacrosanct. If you kill a soldiers family he may fight to the death. However, if he thinks you may destroy his family and have not done so yet, he may reconsider.

Either way we have to start to attack the civilian populations which create these new enemy combatants. If there is no price for Mama to pay when she sends her little Abullah out as a suicide bomber, then she will encourage this type of behavior.

Part of this mindset comes from the idea that not all of the population supports a given ideology. True enough, but in the islamic street that is not the case and yet the civil population(s) pay no price for it's open support of terrorists and terrorism.
