COSTA MESA - About 100 people turned out Sunday evening at Fairview Park for a Western-themed fundraiser to support the re-election of Mayor Allan Mansoor to the City Council.
The $25-a-head "Where Have All the Cowboys Gone," fundraiser and potluck was hosted by the Gilchrist Angels, a group of pro-legal immigration women.
Mansoor put Costa Mesa in the national spotlight in December when the City Council voted 3-2 to pursue an agreement with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to train its police officers to enforce immigration law. Mansoor has argued the policy will make the city safer for all.

That's the right price for a fundraiser if you're actually trying to appeal to the average voter. We all know that the "$500 a plate" (and up) dinners are just for bribers and bribees.
