(CBS4 News) HIALEAH Hialeah Police Homicide Detectives are investigating the gruesome discovery of a dead babys body inside of an abortion clinic [Isn't that what abortion clinics do?] but conflicting stories may prove there's more to the discovery than meets the eye.
The body was found at A Gynecologists Diagnostic Center, 3671 West 16th Avenue in Hialeah.
Witnesses tell police that a young woman, whose identity has not been released, arrived at the clinic last Thursday at roughly 22 weeks pregnant for an abortion procedure.
Police say the woman arrived the next day after the procedure complaining of severe pain. Workers at the clinic explained to her that the doctor was not available and she'd have to wait.
The woman was taken into a recovery room and according to witnessess, gave birth in the clinic.
''Employees cut the umbilical cord, put the baby in a bag and walked away with it," Hialeah Lt. Ralph Gracia said. [Such caring people.]
An anonymous caller, who police believe to be a clinic worker, alerted officials that the baby was born alive and possibly killed. When officials arrived, however, there was no body to be found.
CBS4's Dave Malkoff reported that when police were called to the scene a second time Friday night, they found the body of a dead baby in a biohazard bag.
"In 24 years in law enforcement, I have never seen a case like this," said Hialeah Detective Tony Rodriguez, the lead investigator. [You probably don't hang around in abortion mills]
Detectives believe the abortion clinic tampered with the evidence. The fetus was reportedly 12 inches long and weighed 2-3 pounds. Hialeah Police PIO, Frank Gonzalez, believe the baby was born premature and is unsure how the baby died. [?! In paragraph #4 it says she underwent a 'procedure.' As far as I know, this is when the baby is usually dismembered.]
The clinic's doors have been closed while the investigation continues and it's believed the clinic may be linked to one in Miramar with the same name that was forced to close by the state in 2005.
Officials are awaiting the autopsy, scheduled for Saturday, to determine the exact cause of death.
No word yet if charges will be filed.

If my memory serves me correctly the nurse who held and rocked this baby as it died, is now an advocate for pro life.
There will not be any pictures. The murdering abortion crowd talks the talk about the right to abortion. But that crowd is as cowardly as you can get. Not only could they not bear to see what the reality of abortion looks like, they could not stand the outrage that would ensue. Not only did the Supreme Court of the Dred Scott tradition make abortion legal, the media elites ruled that there would be no pictures. For those who assert the carnage of the Holocaust, there are pictures to back them up. For those of us who assert the mass carnage of RoevWade, there will be no pictures. In America a mistreated animal can get full victimhood in the mainstream media, something this human soul or any like it will always be denied.
I know a woman who had a very similar story, working as a nurse in a small town. The baby, still alive, was put into a cold pan and left in a storage room. All the nurses were threatened with firing and "black listing" by the doctor if they dared to go into the room and hold or comfort the baby. She never went back to work there or in the nursing profession.
You gotta figure that out of 1.5 million abortions per year, that there are tens of thousands like this that go un-noticed.
Haven't you heard, the outrage is 20 human sheilds being killed....NOT 1 million babies a year aborted. The world is evil.
The AMA's ethics council has guidelines stating that it is unethical for physicians to engage in most aspects of lethal injection because a physician is "dedicated to preserving life." For example, physicians may not select fatal injection sites or start intravenous lines, prescribe or administer drugs used in the process, or consult with or supervise lethal injection personnel. Some actions, such as evaluating a prisoner psychiatrically to determine if the execution can proceed, are approved.
PING...
"This is news? They are full of dead babies every single day."
...yeah.. But this one wasn't chopped into pieces first..
/sarc.
So very sad.
Yes.. Evil sums it up.
Proof that this is a spiritual battle, above all.
Nevertheless, she had a duty to speak out.
I used to wonder what it was like to live in Germany during the Holocaust. I now know. Just take a look around you.
Two or three pounds is impossible at 22 weeks. They are only about 1 pound at 22 weeks. That baby was much older.
"Two or three pounds is impossible at 22 weeks. They are only about 1 pound at 22 weeks. That baby was much older."
I was just thinking the same thing. Right now I'm 23 weeks...a few weeks ago during my ultrasound they estimated the baby to be 11 oz.
I guess the baby should be one pound by now.
You're right...this baby was older...by quite a bit.
Abortion mills kill babies. that's the bottom line.
