I am getting the impression that both Goldblatt AND Trace Gallagher..(the Sheppy replacement)...are assuming so.
THEY are the ones that are bringing up Thursday..and yet I haven't heard Pres. Bush or Olmert that have mentioned any end date.
Thursday is the 9th of Av...maybe that's why they are aiming for it. But the only way a cease fire would be forced down the Israelis' throat is if Bush blinks. And even if he didn't doesn't mean Israel would necessarily agree. And then there'll be ages to negotiate who the troops for the buffer zone will be.
France cannot make it happen. Russia cannot. China cannot. Iran cannot.
Are these people living in cloudcuckooland? Have they drunk the koolaid?
