U.N. PWNED
No..it was from an article posted here...I should have attributed it....I'll check back and find it..apologies..
This is one time that I am glad my granddaughter has the TV...I would be really upset to actually WATCH the stations changing away from Olmert's speech..
Dang...C-span was showing Nasrallah's over and over last week.
"That's a keeper."
I'd like to know who wrote this speech for him. This has been one of the best speeches that I have ever heard live. Remarkable mastery of persuasion. Whoever it is needs to be hired by GWB.
No kidding. All one needs to do is look at the people who were at Ground Zero on 09/11 to see what digging out from rubble looks like.
"Did Olmert say this? Either i have totally misjudged the man or the pressure is so intense for him to finish the job that he has no other choice."
I think he delivered a stronger statement than expected. He indicated no cease fire until this threat on their border is destroyed.
"Do you still think the Israelis are done fighting?"
I think it has not even started.
It sure is...very powerful. Who said it?
AMEN.
"I think the Israelis have solidified in their realization there is no turning back. Hezebola is the outer layer of a large onion."
I believe you're are correct.
That's the link to the article in which that paragraph appeared.
not even close...
Very interesting especially the first:
20:01 Olmert: No small number of days of fighting still await us (Haaretz)
20:01 Olmert: We won`t cease offensive until our objectives are accomplished (Haaretz)
19:59 Olmert: This is an opportunity to change `rules of the game` in Lebanon (Haaretz)
Well Good...it sounds like Olmert has found his spine and voice....maybe Bibi has been hot on his heels.
I think Bibi, military generals, etc.
I am so amazed by Olmert's statement..and his growing spine..God bless him.
Do you still think the Israelis are done fighting?
Given the political leanings of the current Israeli govt and the piecemeal call up of reserves (when in every past Israeli war they've been called up in a real hurry), i believe those that thought Olmert would capitulate had every reason to believe so. Olmert has now (after almost 3 weeks of fighting) talked the talk, will he walk the walk? I still believe he was pressured into this or else this would have happened a lot sooner.
Most long, medium-range rockets destroyed
Day 20: Security forces say Hizbullah's long and medium-range rocket capability suffered major blow. Number of rockets fired at Haifa halves; launching cells shoved north of the Litani River. Zelzal missile system also takes hit.
The relative quiet in the Haifa and Krayot area is not coincidental, as the IDF revealed new figures Monday showing that Hizbullah's 220 millimeter rocket system has taken a heavy blow. The number of rockets of that type fired at Haifa have gone down from 400 to 200.
In addition, a senior government source told Reuters that the IDF destroyed two thirds of Hizbullah's Zelzal missiles.

Who said that? Olmert?
It is very good...and I choked up. I am sure there are Americans that feel the same way...but, fortunately for us, we aren't having to hide in bomb shelters.
