U.N. PWNED
18:11 Gov`t source: IDF has destroyed two thirds of Hezbollah`s long-range missiles (Reuters)
As is Somalia, sort of swept aside.
Come, my people, enter your chambers, and shut your doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until the wrath is past. For behold, the LORD is coming forth out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity, and the earth will disclose the blood shed upon her, and will no more cover her slain.

Isaiah. It would be nice if my brain didn't go so much faster than my fingers....

"August 22."
Hmmm, an extended camping trip to the Smoky Mountains sounds good.
Israel says hits 2/3 of Hizbollah's heavy missiles
Israeli forces have destroyed an estimated two thirds of Hizbollah's long-range missile capabilities, a senior government official told Reuters on Monday.
The Iranian-supplied Zelzal-2 missiles have been Israel's main strategic concern during an a 20-day-old fight with the Lebanese guerrilla group. They have a range of 200 km (125 miles) and are believed capable of carrying biological or chemical warheads. (Reuters)

And I just gave away all my secret links to the updates, too ;0}
Mostly its my compromise between my need to know and my desire not to go crazy by listening to or reading too much talking head bs.
There is far more "activity" than I gathered from the media. It is indeed a pretty map.
It's positioning talk. No done deals of yet.
People are jockeying around getting ready to try to force issues, but also starting bargaining points.
The US holds a pretty big trump card on all this, though.

I'm surprised they know where the ZelZals are - not many were even launched.
.
Yes, excellent map, debg.
Didn't I read a few posts ago that the UN Council has postponed their discussion of the International force??
You also called it a "peacekeeping" force...I think that Bolton, Bush and others have made it clear that it can't be just a "peacekeeping" force, but one with the mandate to clear out any and all Hezzies incursions.
THAT will take quite a bit of chutzpah by the UN security council to approve...and so I doubt that will happen.
Therefore, it gives Israel/America the time necessary to do what is necessary.
Now..which scenario do you like better?
