Olmert has already indicated there will be no cease fire for many days. All I know about the call up is that CNN said 15,000 troops were being called up. The context of the story made it sound like it was in addition to already called up troops.
Have we seen any indication of an actual revised figure? The news wires are still touting that 56 number.

I have been wondering the same thing...and yet he keeps insisting that the ISRAELIS are the ones that are telling him they have to be done by Thursday.
So...either they are telling him something (the truth?)...while telling the world that they are NOT going for a cease fire..and are going to finish what they started...OR, he is projecting what he WANTS to happen.
The Israeli cabinet has agreed to widen the country's ground offensive against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. The decision, made at a closed door session, received unanimous approval, according to a senior political source.
The government is also planning to call up thousands more reservists, Israeli radio reported.
Some 15,000 reservists could be called up for the wider offensive

On the Haaretz newsicker it is stated that the body count is suddenly revised downward hugely!
