Israel has a very small window now to punish..... to really hurt Hezbollah before this war is called off by the powers that be. They will need to step up the pace in the next 24-48 hours this is going to get wild in that span of time......because I think this is shut down by Friday.

But Syria IMHO still considers itself to be a major player, not a sacrificial lamb. Unless Iran really has nukes, in which case all bets are off I don't think Syria is willing to die for Iran.
