it really shows the power behind the party, that is the interests of business versus voters. folks who never would have believed our political system was so subverted by business interests had their eyes opened by that debate and some of the statistics that have come out on that topic, like number of INS workplace enforcement actions the last 8 years or so.
i think you are right, the immig. issue hurt the GOP more than anything else this year.
