Did the U.S. media ever show German and Japanese civilian casualties of Allied operations while the war was still going on?

I don't know. Wasn't around then.

You don't have to be around then to know that NO ACCOUNTS OF ALLIED ATROCITIES against civilians were reported in the media during World War II. After the war, atrocities committed by the Soviets were revealed.

The U.S. and Britain were never accused of war crimes or killing innocent civilians while the war was going on. Do you think that would have helped or impeded the war effort on the home front?
