You don't have to be around then to know that NO ACCOUNTS OF ALLIED ATROCITIES against civilians were reported in the media during World War II. After the war, atrocities committed by the Soviets were revealed.
The U.S. and Britain were never accused of war crimes or killing innocent civilians while the war was going on. Do you think that would have helped or impeded the war effort on the home front?
"Everything has its season and there is a time for everything under heaven."
"A time for birth and a time for death;"
"A time time to plant and a time to uproot;"
"A time to kill and a time to heal;"
"A time to tear down and a time to build;"
"A time to cry and a time to laugh;"
"A time to mourn and a time to dance;"
"A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones,"
"A time to draw close, and a time to stay apart,"
"A time to find, and a time to lose,"
"A time to keep, and a time to give away,"
"A time to tear, and a time to repair,"
"A time to be silent, and a time to speak out,"
"A time to love, and a time to hate,"
"A time for war, and a time for peace." ECC. 3:1-8
2. Those of you who are so disturbed by what you consider to be anti-Israeli propaganda are revealing a defensiveness that is entirely unwarranted. The formulation of your post, Alouette, is quite interesting, because you seem to be saying that Israel committed an atrocity today, but that we should discuss it only at some future date, in the proper "season." Defensiveness is a trap. There is no reason to be defensive about what happened today, only sad and compassionate for the children.
