IDF May Not Have Caused Kana Deaths
Arutz Sheva ^ | July 30, 2006

Posted on 07/30/2006 11:25:31 AM PDT by West Coast Conservative

Senior IDF officers told reporters a short time ago that there is a contradiction in the timing of the bombing of the village of Kana and reports of the explosion that killed more than 50 civilians and set off world-wide condemnation of Israel. Air Force Commander Amir Eshel left open the possibility that Hizbullah terrorists blew up the building or that an unknown cause set off explosives which were stored in the structure.

He explained that recorded information shows that Israeli Air Force planes bombed the building between midnight and 1 a.m. and that the next attack at 7:30 a.m. was up to 500 yards away. He said reports of the killing of civilians came around 8 a.m. "It is not clear what happened" between 1 a.m. and 8 a.m., he said.

Brigadier General Ido Nehushtan pointed out that Hizbullah terrorists have fired more than 150 rockets from the village of Kana since the beginning of the war.

What were those people doing in there 8 hours after the bombing?

Let me guess.........there was a children's nursery in the basement, a wedding in the large meeting room on the first floor and a women's prayer meeting on the second floor.

Sorry - but what is there to apologize for.... Israel is in a war for her survival against terrorists that fire rockets blindly to try and kill, main and destroy.

At least the IDF is aiming at a identifiable military target before firing...

Saddam used this same tactic in the first Iraqi war by filling a bunker with women and children and transmitted military communications from it. We dropped a bomb and made a direct hit on it, killing everyone inside. This was Saddam's fault for setting it up, not ours. How can the world be fooled again and again by this disgusting trick of cowards.

The Israelis themselves call it a tragic accident. Do YOU have inside information.

It's not a tragic accident. It's war. Israel dropped leaflets warning people to leave the area. They have nothing to apologize for in my callous opinion.

You so quickly forget that the islamo fascists are masters of pr and will quickly sacrifice their own to get those photos of red cross workers carrying dead bodies of children. Also remember that this is a culture that loves death. They strap bombs to their sons and daughter and tell them to kill themselves so that they can take out israeli women and children. SO, with that in mind, do you honestly think they wouldn't purposely put human shields (including kids who are tought since the time they are born to hate Jews)in buildings they know that will be targeted. The pay off for the terrorists is great pr of pictures of dead kids at the hands of the Israelis.

Israel also immediately apologized for Mohammed al-Dura.

By the laws of physics Israel could not have been responsible for that event.

Israel suffers from premature apologizing.

"LOL! GMTA.

This is Propaganda 101 from the pages of the Muslim guide book. "Baby milk factory" is the first that comes to mind... The early days of this current conflict was another one, when all those "victims" had no signs of blood, doctors were laughing, etc.

ok, so I am a little tired of hearing about all these innocent civilians being killed in Lebanon .. how are we to know if they are 'innocent civilians' or are, instead, Hezzi supporters and/or members?

Terrorists are noted for hiding behind women and children, and in mosques. They have no "honor" as we understand it in the West (or at least the US part of the West)

And, really, why do I care if it's a woman/child killed more than a man? Are men less valuable?

I'm finding sympathy for thes "innocent civilians" really hard to come by.

Whatever it might have been, it was certainly no accident.

Hizbollah CERTAINLY knew there were women and children in that building when they set up their Katusha rocket launchers there. Hell, they couldn't possibly have been there WITHOUT Hizbollah consent. Hizbollah probably PUT them there.

And then set about creating a circumstance where Israel would certainly bomb the structure. This is plainly obvious.

What is less obvious, but even more disturbing, is that the Israeli bombing of the structure at about midnight of the 29th did fulfil Hizbollah expectations. The bombing did not drop the structure.

Whaat happened next is conjecture, but something happened to bring that building down at 8AM. I suppose it could have just been a delayed collapse, but I understand that it actually exploded at 8AM.

Now, just how did that happen, do you suppose?

Do you think that people who could intentionally set up a missile launcher at a refugee site would be incapable of setting their own explosives to complete the job that they had hoped an Israeli bomb would do?

Come on. So many of you are so quick to apologize for Israel's actions. Call it what it is, a tragic accident, stop making excuses and propogandizing worse than the Israelis themselves. Look at the source here before so many of you are quick to totally discount the issue.

I don't claim to know what really happened in Qana, but based on the volume of information that proves that the blood-thirsty Islamofascists will hide behind the skirts of their own women, and use their own orphanages as their human shields and bases of ops (the latest is the emails from the Canadian UN "peace"keeper just days before he was killed who stated these very facts), I'm going to lean towards accepting the word of the Israelis until convinced otherwise!

I don't disagree with any of this; however, when Israelis themselves apologize for what they term a tragic mistake, how can so many FReepers get on here an callously say, who cares about the victims, they deserve it, it wasn't an accident... on and on. THAT's what I object to

If there are facts that bring the Lebanese story into question, who is jumping to a conclusion? Perhaps it is too easy to condemn the Israeli action, when you are joining such a raucous chorus? Is wanting to get the facts straight the same as apologizing and propagandizing? Look at the source here before you are quick to totally discount facts that are just now coming into consideration.
