You are exactly right. Israel has been attacked by hamas and hezbollah, at the behest of the focus of evil in the modern world, Iran. A ceasefire, is a victory for the H-teams and team Iran, and will lead, inexorably to a wider and bloodier conflict in the not to distanat future.
Hezbollah for now is using shia civilians as human shields to be used against Israel in the on going battle to win world public opinion. The Israelis have to work through this and continue their mission of crushing hezbollah, or at least disarming this dangerous shia militia. The Israeli motto should be world opinion be damned, we are going to accomplish our mission however long it takes.
I'm with you. These people were told to leave. They've allowed themselves to be used by their enemy. I have no sympathy for them as they are obviously too stupid to see through the Hezbollah's scam.

In World War II the United States and Britain killed 64,000 men woman and children in Dresden, Germany. Dresden had zero military value. It was a college town and Churchill hoped to cause the German intelligentsia to call for an end to the war. It did not work.
In World War II the United States Air Force carpet bombed the residential areas of Tokyo with napalm. It was especially bad because the residential areas of Tokyo consisted of wooden structures. The napalm caused such high temperatures that huge fire balls literally blew up people so that there were at most only fragmented bones of residents remaining.
No notice of D day was given to the French living on the Normandy Shores. They had no warning to evacuate and many were killed in the cross fire. D day was a secret and telling the French living in the area would have compromised the secrecy. Secrecy was more important than innocent French lives.
When the battle of Britain started, the German air force was bombing primarily military targets. Especially hard hit were England's aircraft fields and aircraft factories. Churchill was told that if the Germans continued to bomb the military targets the Germans would win the Battle of Britain.
So Churchill ordered the bombing of Berlin. It took a lot of bombers for some to make it through. But they did get through and bombed residential areas of Berlin.
Hitler was so angry that he ordered the bombing of military targets to be redirected to bombing London just as Churchill expected Hitler to do.
That may sound terrible in retrospect but England could afford to lose a lot of civilians and still win, but they could not afford to lose aircraft, and aircraft factories.
When I hear people start to condemn what was done to win WWII, then I will believe that they have the right to condemn Israel.
