If you want a ceasefire, have the Hezbos return the kidnapped soldiers and stop firing rockets. You could have had a cease fire a long time ago, Lebanon.

Lebanon is captive to Hezbollah. Of course the US knows the real address is Iran. This is after all a proxy war between us and a regime that has resolved "Death To America" as its mantra for decades.

What's nice is the way the terrorists have backed themselves into a corner. Because they kidnapped Israel's treasure, they get hit hard.
And if and when they return treasure, dead or alive, they get hit harder.

Siniora excludes from the negotiations, claims an immediate cease-fire
BEIRUT - Lebanon excludes any discussion after the bombardment from Cana and claims a cease-fire immediate and unconditional, to Sunday with television the Prime Minister Fouad Siniora announced.
"There is no place for discussions in this sad day", declared the Prime Minister who asked "for an international investigation".
Mr. Siniora denounced "the Israeli war crimes" after the death of at least 51 people, including 22 children, in an Israeli bombardment on Cana, in southern Lebanon.
"Lebanon claims a cease-fire immediate and unconditional first of all", required Mr. Siniora.

There is no chance Israel will agree to those terms. Without a commitment by Hezbollah to disarm and a return of the abducted Israeli soldiers, the war will go on.

If a radical Israeli offshoot group that had a few members in the Knesset launched rockets in an un-provoked attack on Lebanon villages, would not the world be holding Israel accountable for what this group did?
Wouldn't they lay the blame at Israel's feet?
When the "news media" show the people of Lebanon crying and asking "why are we being attacked?" and "what about us poor civilians?", why don't they ask those people, "what about the Israeli civilians being attacked, un-provoked, by the people who claim to be your government?"
Why do they dance around happily when Israelis die, and beg for the world to help them when they are attacked in response?
Such is the nature of my enemy . . .

"Lebanon claims a cease-fire immediate and unconditional first of all", required Mr. Siniora. Yeah, they tend to cease firing after they cease breathing! That is the ONLY cease fire a mooslime will HONOR!

There is no chance Israel will agree to those terms. Without a commitment by Hezbollah to disarm and a return of the abducted Israeli soldiers, the war will go on. Hezbollah will never agree to disarm voluntarily. I think Israel is looking for a commitment from the official government of Lebanon that Hezbollah will be disarmed.

Hezbollah and Iran know that they cannot win the war and the longer it goes on, the more face they stand to lose. So they will take a page from Vietnam, and win the war via the liberal media.
