Iran, Syria, and Hezbollah are not going to let Israel out of this. It won't be over until one side or the other is completely defeated. The MSM and world leaders can pontificate all they want. Khamenei and Ahmadinejad will not relent.
I don't think President Bush will relent either..but he can't force Israel to fight..any more than he can tell them NOT to fight.
no, but they could pocket this as a win. hezbollah will be stronger in lebanon (politically) - effectively turning lebanon into another proxy state for iran (like syria is).
and the fight will continue at a later date.
