Israeli combat soldiers walk along the Israeli northern border with Lebanon. US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is pursuing a new round of Middle East diplomacy as the Lebanon conflict moved into its 19th day, with Israel and Hezbollah exchanging firepower and threats in defiance of international moves toward a ceasefire
If she were serious about an agreement, Nasrallah would be there, too. As if...
The only way there is going to be an immediate cease fire is if Olmert or the US blinks.
All that anti-Israeli posturing in Europe, perhaps feeding both traditional prejudices and an attempt to calm the flashpoint ethnic moslem ghettos won't change that reality, but it does show who is on which side.
Hitler was also good at playing the victim while acting as the aggressor.
I really don't think Naz wants a cease fire, long as his butt is safe, because he's gaining a lot politically on the arab street while tensions are high.
And it would be national suicide for Israel to stop right now.
So meetings are advise and learn sessions, I suspect.
"he only way there is going to be an immediate cease fire is if Olmert or the US blinks."
That would be a disaster. It would signal that Western democracies can no longer wage war in an era where the press thwarts a country's self defense.
An old, and often sucessful technique when you're dealing with people who think that EVERYBODY comes to the table in moderately good faith.
Europe must obey their muslim masters or the death cult will burn entire cities, not just the ghettos.
Mornin - trying to catch up this am
Truer words were seldom spoken...
I have to believe that having this 24/7, nonstop coverage of war is doing a big disservice to the brave men and women who are trying to eliminate the forces of evil who want to wipe us off the face of the earth. When a constant running tally is kept of each and every single injury and fatality, the focus of the reporting switches from the battlefield to harrowing descriptions of the toll on innocent civilians. We will never defeat the enemy if this kind of coverage continues. I hate to say that, but I believe it to be the truth. How would these commie news outlets be reporting our bombings of Japan if they had been in existence during WWII? Just the thought of that makes me shudder.
Any support they once had for Israel has long since evaporated.
Been a busy morning....
"Maybe they both got canned"
I hope not, I like them both
I was afraid of that. This is not just a shooting war, it is also a PR war.
Occupying southern lebanon shouldn't be the goal. Clearing out Hezzbollah fighters is the goal.
It was not be "good" PR to invade at this time...IMO.
Exactly. It will only encourage more attacks.
Gee, wonder if this could explain Hollyweird's lack of support for Israel. The IDF aren't members of the Actors Guild.
Thank you for continuing to make this point.
Moral clarity and steely resolve is what we need at this point. Your picture and comment makes that point in spades.

Europe in a since is already occupied.
Greg Palkot is on...here's the tape.
