Just heard on Fox (Jennifer Griffin)...Israel will not require Hezbollah to disarm for a cease fire to be accomplished.
With any luck, a short time after this ends, Olmert's government will fall in a No Confidence motion.
Until then Israel is stuck with him.
If a cease-fire is called before Hezbollah is completely obliterated, Hezbollah wins. If Hezbollah wins this war, they're going to rule Lebanon entirely. And then they'll take Palestine.
If they get that strong, Israel is history.
There's no way Bush (via Condi) called for this. There's just no way.
Southern Lebanon is destroyed, I don't think the residents will be calling it a victory when they see their homes a pile of rubble. Let the Hezzies claim victory, reality is they got their butts kicked to kingdom come.
There is no reason in the World for Rice to be in Israel right now except to exert pressure on Israel
Not a very difficult job if she is sitting across spineless Ehud Olmert.
Hez-Ebola will now own Lebanon. These people venerate death and they have won a 'huge' victory if Israel agrees to ANY cease-fire
I agree and it was good that she got back on air pretty fast to correct the record
Jennifer called the Israeli Foreign Ministry (Not just some "official") they confirmed the report (as also reported elsewhere). Then they called here back to deny the report. This is what she said in her report.
They strap bombs on their children to kill jews and infidels. They would trade their lives for defeating Israel. This is HUGE for them.
Israel almost immediately denied the report. A few minutes later, they bombed the holy hell out of Tyre City again.
Don't believe it. It's misinformation from one side or the other (I haven't a clue which).
News flash: CNN just stated that the main border crossing between Lebanon and Syria has just been closed for the first time since the beginning of current hostilities due to nearby Israeli bombing.
Ah! The old "non denial denial." In that order.
bttt
I agree completely. That's why the report immediately struck me as BS. Such a deal would be political suicide for the current Israeli government. And for damn good reason.
I heard that too. I wonder if Syria will now get involved. I would rather it ramp up than stop for a ridiculous Hezzie hudna.
I agree. That was good, but the damage may have already been done. Still, it's better than allowing that report to go uncorrected.
At least Chamberlain gave away some one else's country.
They'll feel blinding, seething rage for Israel when they see their homes in ruins. And they'll turn to Hezbollah.
That's where their victory comes from.
