(CBS News)
Israel has made so little progress in destroying Hezbollah that some U.S. intelligence analysts now say the attempt to create a buffer zone in southern Lebanon has bogged down, reports CBS News national security correspondent David Martin.

C B S again!
OMG, have they run out of Vietnam analogies...? After only 40 years? I thought they would get at least another decade or two out of it.
I think they mean creating another democracy.
It's been two weeks. Jimmah could have solved this in an hour if the Israelis would show a little tolerance and absorb the rocket attacks like adult mice. (sarc)
The Lib media proves that the Vietnam template never dies
two week conflict = QUAGMIRE!
LOL!
If Iraq was our "Lebanon", Iraqi terrorists would be lobbing 100 rockets a day into Texas and California
Whenever I hear those words coming from the dinosaur media, I think of these clowns...
Rather they hope to create one.
I hope you are right. But I have no doubt this is not what CBS meant by this article. Be sure to read the whole thing. Just incredible.
Yes...the dreaded "Q" word!
Since this is tiny Israel we are talking about, I would change your analogy from Texas and California to New Jersey and Delaware.
FU CBS...Anything else to be said??? I think Not!!!!!!!
LOL! I told somebody yesterday when news came out that Nasrallah was holed up in the Iranian Embassy, that we told Israel they could not take him out as he was having tea with Ambassador Joe Wilson, and Valerie Plame would complain we took out Nasrallah because it would discredit Joe for his position against the war." Bwahahahahaha!
I greatly fear that the entire offesnive is about to end in failure, leaving things worse off than before. Bush and Balir, rightly or wrongly, likely have concluded that they cannot hold off on a ceasefire for much longer. In the meantime Israel's offensive is stalled, Hezbollah has been hurt but not destroyed, and Iran continues to possess a pathway to destabilize Lebanon and Israel.
Meanwhile Israel's offensive has stalled, and has not hurt Hezbollah in any irreparable way (or so I gather from news reports.)
The "multinational peacekeeping force" that the international busybodies have suggested sounds like a disaster in the making. A collection of foreign soldiers in Lebanese territory? Perfect target practice for aspiring Hezbollah suicide bombers. The peacekeeping force will never be able to leave, because Hezbollah will never stop being a threat to Israel.
I sincerely hope that no American President is foolish enough to include American troops in this "multinational moving target."
LIES LIES LIES!!!!!!! lsm lying that we are losing, Israel is losing, Bush bad, Republicans eat babies etc etc etc...
If it appears in any major media, it is either a distortion or an outright lie!
