The problem is you have to get the nomination of one of the major parties or run as an independent. Hillary and McCain have to run for their party's nomination or choose ala Perot to run as an independent. The way the primary system works, it would be difficult for the two to get together unless they were both defeated in the primaries.
George Allen is my choice for 2008.

...with McCain and Clinton at the top of the polls for their parties' nominations, they are increasingly doing things that underscore their differences.
This is what horrifies me. Many in the press have already ordained these two as the next presidential candidates. May neither be foisted upon their respective parties. I just hope and pray the primaries remove these two from the running.
