This really sucks. My son is leaving for the Mediterranean this fall.

Gotta give 'em some credit for the use of the word "ALL". Although to the Hezzies the word does not apply.

Now you know why Rice is heading to Israel again so soon.

Now the US pressure on Israel begins.

I thought that the moderate arab outcry against hezbollah was too good to be true.

The Gang of Saud imagined the Mahdi Army led by the 12th Imam marching from Persia to reclaim the holey shitties and had to make some whimpering sounds to make sure the U.S. would be there to protect their cowardly robed arses.

Lots of possible terrorists there though.

Absolutely, but the Saudi's know when Israeli aircraft start dropping bombs they'll be blowing up what the Saudi's are not willing to sacrifice.

think it will be way cool when the IDF occupies Mecca and Medina.

I hear ya, but personally, I'd rather Mecca and Medina be a dome of molten glass - but that's just me! :0)

The Israelis only have about 300 warheads. Of course, the sheet heads only have about 100 targets. That leaves 200 warheads for European cities in the end game.

Well, I can assure you that we won't invade Saudi Arabia, but in case you want to continue to rally the mob, the correct phrase is

Kick their ass and take THEIR gas.

Taking our gas wouldn't be helpful.

Thoughts and prayers for your loved ones, Alouette.

You know, I am thinking we are going to have to do to the middle East what we did to Nazi Germany... de-nazify it. Jihad, in this case.

Things could get nuclear quickly.

Bullspit. The Chinese OWN petroleum futures, and summoned the Saudi's two months ago. This is for local consumption, with much back-channel support. KSA has no nuclear capability. Israel will not be first launch. Pakistan is the wild card, yet the Turks will keep Pak and Iran in check. It would be irresponsible to insinuate that the situation has decayed to nuclear response.

Maybe it's meant for domestic consumption as PR to help appease the people not happy about their stance against hezballah? After all, it was announced the same day that Pres. Bush and Tony Blair announced that they wanted to put together a mutinational force.

Saudis hate the Palestinians as much as anyone else and share no common bond with them other than religion. With a few exceptions, Saudi Arabia only has a mercenary army and depends on the US and others countries for defense. They couldn't beat their way out of a wet paper bag.

Exactly...I find it hard to believe they have a military that could fight anyone on their own.

The Saudis have a technically impressive air force, modern American platform the equal or supreior to what we sell Israel. Manned by American trained personel which many, including a few Freepers who have served with them, would describe as very competant. And operating withing a few miles of Israel, in violation of their agreements with the US. Short reaction time, that lead to accidents. I wouldn't underestimate them, I'm sure Israel doesn't.

That said, I've no idea what the authority of the "Royal Court" is. My guess it's the equivalent of Howard Dean and Dick Durban stirring the pot.

When we, and the rest of the world are free from the requirement
for petroleum oil, Iran, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Iraq
will not have any more money to support the Wahabi's, and
maybe the folks who run those "nations" will have to
perform public functions in order to stay in power, and their
biggest concern will not be Palestine/Israel, but having
food for themselves and their countrymen.
