Mike Nifong is trying to reassure voters that he's the man for the job a day after a potential challenger said he won't pursue the district attorney job.
Nifong admitted Friday that there's some justification to criticism about how he handled the media with the Duke case.
"My handling of the media coverage of this case has occasioned substantial criticism, some of which is undoubtedly justified," Nifong said during a half-hour press conference. "I both underestimated the level of media attention this case would draw and misjudged the effect that my words would have.

Considering the damage Nifong has done to the criminal system, among others, this case is no longer just a Durham problem.

To hell with you "Ding Dong."
You used this case to win reelection, and became a media whore that used a real whore to ruin the lives of many people so that you could keep your job.
Disgusting.
If there is any justice in this world (I know there is justice in the next) then you will be behind bars yourself soon.

"My handling of the media coverage of this case has occasioned substantial criticism, some of which is undoubtedly justified," I don't know much about the law not being an attorney. I know this case should have not been about his reelection. Peoples lives have been affected by his ineptitude.
With his above admission I would think it would warrant his being barred from running for office and his possible disbarment.

One can only hope. He deserves to be indicted. Why do I enjoy thinking about him sharing a cell block with guys he sent to the Big House?

That's okay. They are a bunch of snobby rich white kids. Many would say true and that's how most on the looney left look at the whole thing. I also believe that's why Nifong thought he could pull it off.

"That having been said, this case remains a Durham problem and it demands a Durham solution.""
You grabbed the same sentence I did, it's probably nit-picking, but that still sounded faintly ominous to me, especially since the case appears to be a modern racist lynching of some out of state boys.

As much as the weak kneed PUBS bother me, the evil use of power by RATS terrifies me hundred times more.

Good points and that's exactly what's happened with Delay and Rush. You also notice it only happens in areas where the Rats control. I still think Earle will get slapped down.

Reality just whapped him over the head a bit?
What's going on down there, that a wisp of something finally penetrated his thick skull?
