WASHINGTON A federal grand jury investigating leaks of classified information has summoned a former National Security Agency officer who says he talked to reporters about the agency's warrantless eavesdropping program.
Russell Tice received a subpoena to testify next Wednesday to a grand jury that is meeting in Alexandria, Va. The subpoena was posted Friday on a Web site run by a whistleblowers' group to which Tice belongs.
"The grand jury is conducting an investigation of possible violations of federal criminal laws involving the unauthorized disclosure of classified information," according to a letter that accompanied the subpoena.

I recall Rush hypothesizing that Tice was nothing more than a red herring/fall guy for the actual leakers.

I was unable to click to the original article so I am not sure where this guy sits on the food chain but I think the President should have cleaned house of the left over Clinton loyalists..... IMO

He's going to lead them right to the others or he's going to jail and he knows it. Next step maybe to get the reporters from the Slimes to confirm the sources.

I didn't know that a grand jury had been convened. That is interesting.

I guess Fat Russ and his friends are running their own shadow Executive Branch?
I went to the alleged whistleblower's site and was unimpressed by their claims to be whistleblowers. They seem to be criminals.

I didn't know either and I would bet that there's a lot of phone calls going on right now getting the stories straight.

There are things that persons who once worked for NSA, or related organizations, may never talk about.
Some of the statements from Russell Tice would seem to fall in this category. If so, I personally feel that somebody has betrayed the trust that I bear.
The full force and authority of the government should be brought down on prosecution of this transgression.

I'm sure President Bush would have liked nothing better if he'd been able to start with a clean slate, but Clinton took steps at the very end of his disastrous eight years to ensure that couldn't happen.
